Spring is here and we could not be more excited about warm weather, open windows and the fresh tastes of farm-fresh fruits and veggies.
If you follow us on Instagram you know that Daniel is a bit of picky eater when it comes to veggies, but even he LOVES this green smoothie that is packed full of them- (including kale!).
Here’s how you make
First off, make sure you wash all of your fresh fruits and veggies extremely well.
We love to use Young Living’s Thieves Fruit and Veggie Soak. This helps remove any potential, germs, dirt, waxes, etc. that might be on your produce.
Next chop up the apple into quarters so it purees in the smoothie more easily.
Add about 2 cups of mixed frozen peaches, pineapple and strawberries.
Add 2 handfuls of Kale – yes, you heard me… two handfuls, and be generous, its good for you!
Add 1 handful of spinach.
Top off with about 1 cup of water and blend well.
After blending down the mixture a bit (your blender will be quite full with all that nutrient filled goodness) add another 1 1/2 cups of water and 1 scoop of collagen powder.
Collagen is amazing for strengthening your bones, skin, hair, nails and promoting joint health! Our favorite is the Tone it Up Marine Collagen.
Finally set your blender on high and blend for about 2-5 minutes. This may seem long but it makes for a nice, smooth, deliciously well-blended smoothie!
Finally, serve and enjoy!
